As the Library Media Specialist, connecting students to literature and ensuring that they are effective users and creators of information serve as the mission of my library program. My blogs strive to connect students, staff, parents, and others with information resources and tools.
For the past eight years I have worked at the Eton School in Bellevue, Washington. The school consists of three levels: Pre-elementary Montessori (ages 3-5); Lower Elementary Montessori (1st to 3rd grades); and Eton Veladare Academy (grades 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8th). The library programs serves all students, staff, and parents.
I bring to this position prior working experience in two public school districts and a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Washington. I also serve on the Board of the Washington Library Media Association as the Editor of the association’s journal the MEDIUM.
Comments and suggestions are always appreciated.
